COLLECTIVE TECHNOLOGIES ROLLS OUT NEW BACKUP AND RECOVERY HEALTHCHECK SERVICE SOLUTION
Consulting Services Experts Evaluate Health of Backup and Recovery Capabilities to Ensure Protection of Mission-Critical Data
Austin, TX, March 19, 2007 - Collective Technologies, an IT infrastructure solutions provider, announced today the launch of its new Backup and Recovery HealthCheck Service solution. This in-depth analysis allows clients to verify the integrity, performance, and reliability of their backup and recovery systems.
"For a fraction of the cost of a failure, Collective Technologies' Backup and Recovery HealthCheck Service can provide clients with real peace of mind knowing that their infrastructure will perform as expected in the event of an interruption or disaster," stated Ed Taylor, CEO, Collective Technologies. "Our Backup and Recovery HealthCheck Service solution is but one component of our broader consulting services strategy, which is delivering on the company's commitment to provide complete information infrastructure solutions that enable clients to achieve greater success."
Collective Technologies' Backup and Recovery HealthCheck Service provides a rapid snapshot of a client's current recoverability readiness, as well as a detailed report outlining recommendations to increase the efficiency and reliability of backup systems that protect mission-critical data.
"With the constantly accelerating pace of business, organizations must ensure that their critical business information remains highly available and fully protected," said Taylor. "Collective's Backup and Recovery HealthCheck Service is an effective way for organizations to accurately evaluate their infrastructure and be certain they are maximizing their IT investment."
Backup and Recovery HealthCheck Service is available for EMC NetWorker and Veritas NetBackup data protection environments and addresses the following key areas:
- Performance Check - Examines the speed and efficiency of a client's current backup and recovery system, identifies bottlenecks, and suggests improvement strategies.
- Integrity Check - Analyzes file systems, email systems, and databases to determine if systems are properly backed up or are at risk of backup or recovery failure.
- Recovery Check - Assesses current business continuance plans and system SLAs to determine whether there are processes, hardware, and facilities in place to properly restore critical data.
In addition to its Backup and Recovery HealthCheck, Collective Technologies also provides infrastructure solutions with mail and messaging, storage services, and data center solutions.
The HealthCheck is the first in a suite of Exchange Server-focused offerings from Collective Technologies. Collective also offers migration and consolidation services and strategic advice on new versions of Exchange Server, including when and how to migrate as well as how to take advantage of its features. This service is primarily targeted at customers running Exchange Server 2000 or Exchange Server 2003, and is instrumental in helping to optimize a customer's current deployment and lays the foundations for a smooth migration to Exchange Server 2007.
